Whale Watching Cruise from Sea World

Very good experience!! Loads of whales and the captain and crew were hilarious, learned so much information of humpback whales from them. Highly recommend for families or animal lovers! Remember to take seasick pills if you are unsure how you gonna be on the sea, loads of people got sick on the boat.

We had the best day celebrating a friend’s birthday on board SOMII! From the moment we walked through the doors, May have us such a warm welcome and was the happiest and friendliest worker I’ve come across all year! The whole team were fantastic. It was a quieter day of whales yet we were so lucky to get a massive breach right in front of us so close to the boat. With plenty of inquisitive and acrobatic dolphins, interesting commentary and beautiful weather, the day was made! They even let our sick friend sit in the captain's chair and the team made a shoutout for our friends birthday. 10/10 highly recommend for all ages and interests!

Great sunny day. The boat was super clean and the crew was awesome. Asking all the time how we going (I travelled with child). We were offered sea sickness tablets as well. The captain explained and told us a lot about whales. We saw three whales. Great experience.

Nice comfortable seating on the new vessel and informative commentary by the captain. Staff all very friendly and made sure to follow the whales and get as close as possible. Saw some spectacular breachings and tail slaps. Quite a few whales about. Overall a good experience.

It was a wonderful once in a lifetime experience. A staff member Doug did an amazing job where we were sitting looking after people who were seasick. We saw 2 whales do breach and fluke moves, got some great snaps, it was great having a bar with light meals and beverages too.

The venue was easy to find and reception staff were very friendly. Our captain (Wayne) and the crew gave us a warm welcome as we boarded the boat which was clean, comfortable and well equipped. The whole experience was amazing from the start to end. We had some very knowledgeable crew and got right up close to 3 whales and a pod of dolphins. Absolutely recommend this experience.

Awesome trip, crew, experience n got up close to the whales, plenty of whales to see and look out for, perfect day, staff were friendly and knowledgeable, the ship was quick and clean, went out in the deep blue ocean and loved it, was nice n calm, booking was really simple easy and quick.

Friendly efficient staff - boat in excellent condition. All water and COVID safety and seasickness issues covered. When we found whales - a knowledgeable commentary given with humour! An enjoyable experience for children and adults. We would recommend your company and definitely use it again ourselves.

What a fabulous experience! We saw a few whales, unfortunately, no breaches though. Also a huge turtle and some dolphins. The Sea World team were very professional and informative. We will definitely be back to do some more Whale Watching again one day.

Mer had a wonderful experience with Sea World Cruises. The crew was very engaging and Captain was very informative. Kept us entertained. We spotted baby whales & humpbacks. We saw some amazing stunts in the wild. Tail flaps and many more. Must do activity & I recommend Sea World Cruises hands down! You & your family will have a great experience.

It was amazing, the view was great, staff was fun, and the service was at the top-notch. The place was clean, and superb whale. I basically recommend to anyone who wants to encounter whale in a short distance. My family loves it as she is a vet student, so glad to bring her here.

It was a beautiful experience! Booking was easy and the staff on arrival were friendly and very helpful. The boat was clean. The staff took good care of us. They made their best for us to be able to see these wonderful whales and we could even see dolphins! It was just awesome! We highly recommend this cruise!

Absolutely awesome experience, staff were fabulous and definitely knew where to find whales and what to look for. I get motion sickness and the staff understand and help people who do. Definitely an experience not to miss, 4th visit to GC and finally got on the boat.

A great day out. The boat was comfortable and although we went at a peak time did not feel cramped. We saw whales pretty much from the moment we were out into the ocean. The crew were knowledgeable and helpful throughout the cruise. We have done whale watching before but this experience was probably the best one.

We had an absolutely amazing time out on the whale watching cruise, a highlight of our holiday to see these amazing mammals splashing around in front of the boat, the boat is large and comfortable and the staff were great! Couldn’t ask for more! We took a backpack with some fruit and water for refreshments whilst making the journey out to see (which was actually very quick, 20 minutes or so).

I was a wonderful day, good view good service, really enjoy it and having great fun. Very good net, best support. It was a lucky day that we can see many whales and some of them jumped up and down, the workers there were really nice too, they told us many things about whales and very humorous. Also, help with the seasick problem.

Well sized boat for the number of people on board. Not at all crowded. Saw plenty of whales and had a really great day. It did seem a bit odd that the commentary was continually criticising the use of plastic water bottles yet that is what they supplied. Probably be more sensible to have bulk water and paper cups.

I have wanted to do this for the longest time and my husband has never been keen enough. We were heading to the Gold Coast for the weekend so I just booked it! We all enjoyed ourselves so much, from the boat ride out to a location I heard "Wow this is worth it already". We had not even spotted a whale at this point. The staff and their dialogue throughout as well as the lovely boat we were on was well worth every cent and will be a memory my 6 year old will treasure for life. The microphone relaying the whale sounds was a particularly special moment. We were lucky to see plenty of whale action and dolphins as well. I can not wait to swim with these beautiful creatures next year.

Magnificent! Saw many whales up close. They came right up along the side of the boat and swam slowly around for a long time. If you're concerned about seasickness, don't be. The crew are very attentive to passengers and offer medication and bags to everyone. The best short cruise I've ever been on. Highly recommend!

I could not fault this cruise. From the luxurious and spacious vessel to the friendly staff and incredible knowledge shared by the marine naturalists. We were blessed by mother nature to have a warm sunny day with hardly any swell which made the journey more comfortable. And the whales were very active. Plenty of breaches, tail and fin slaps. A mother and her calf were also spotted. Sea World Cruises took care to give us a great experience but always kept a safe distance and let the whales go on their way. Five stars. Would definitely go again.

The whole experience was amazing. The captain was very informative and funny. The crew were extremely nice helpful and happy. I got plenty of video of the whales and at the end $10 for some professional whale pics was reasonably priced. A must-do for anyone visiting the gold coast

As with everything Sea World has to offer, great time was had, got to see lots of whales, great friendly staff, even went around checking on everyone, we went in the afternoon and saw the sun setting on the way back to Sea World, how beautiful, Just remember your seasick meds.

Great afternoon on the water. The Sea World boat was only 3 months old so was shiny and clean. The captain and crew were very friendly and approachable. They gave us a thorough safety talk and kept a very good eye on the guests to help manage any seasickness. It was a very pleasant afternoon with a light breeze and calm waters. We saw may water spurts in the distance which alerted the captain, crew and guests as to where the whale pods were situated. After a while, we were rewarded with some sightings much closer to the boat and were very lucky to get some playful tail flicks from a mum and her calf. I wish quick enough to capture a few photos. On the journey, we learnt a lot of information about the local area, dolphins, birds and of course plenty on the migration of the whales. Some guests need to be reminded that whales and dolphins are wild animals and do not perform on demand. My husband and I enjoyed our 2.5 hour boat trip.

Great company! Great vessel! The staff was friendly, knowledgeable and very accommodating. Had the best time, saw a few whales and was lucky enough to follow a very active whale that gave us quite a show. Would definitely go with Sea world again! Worth every penny!

The most considerate staff. Plenty of information given by guide experience overload what was offered in the package was supplied the experience we had on our tour onboard our boat was clean easy access to all sights safety was enhanced whole trip. We saw heaps of whales but also the cityscape was pointed out with so much information given on whales our surrounding area plus the aftercare when leaving tour was still very courteous and all thoughts gave no matter what age.

We had the best whale watch cruise experience from Sea World. The moment we arrived at the terminal, we felt welcomed by the staff. The ride was choppy at the start, could also because we were standing on the top deck, but the cruise was well worth it. The crew was fantastic, we saw heaps of humpback whales activities. It was amazing, without a doubt, it was a memorable experience!

Amazing staff. Good information provided during the cruise. Saw like ten whales. The whales are more curious than us. They came for human watching & not us to watch the whales. Just carry a jacket as at the time you might feel a little cold. 10 on 10 to the crew members & the whole idea of the whale watching.

Amazing day. Two whales were lazily swimming near the boat. Staff were friendly and very knowledgeable. They ensured we got as close as allowed to the whales. Beautiful new boat. Had a thoroughly enjoyable day and will definitely go whale watching with Seaworld again as they care about the animals and the ocean.

Very nice whale watching experience on a modern ship, which has many spaces for you to catch a good view. The crew is friendly and the journey is quite comfortable for a sea ride. You will also see absolutely stunning views of Gold Coast Skyline from the sea.

It's my first time to watch whales on a cruise. It's an unforgettable, amazing experience! We were so excited to see the Humpback whales breathing above water! At the same time, there were few dolphins following along with these whales, how harmonious scene it is!

Wow! Had an amazing time saw so many whales! I would go back again in a heart beat! It was a beautiful day also the information about the whales that was discussed on the day was great learnt alot that. I would recommend my family and friends to attend this cruise.

The vessel was clean and comfortable, staff on board was knowledgeable and friendly, and to top it off we had the perfect weather - cool and sunny after several days of rain. We caught quite a few sightings of the whales, and on the return trip saw the beautiful sunset. Wonderful experience. Thank you!

After some concerns about rough weather, we decided to go anyway. The trip through the bar was rough but once out it was ok. Staff were great and the facilities on board were good. It was one of the best experiences as we got to see many whales and their breaching etc. was totally awesome. Thanks!

The sea was very rough on the day so half the boat got seasick. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We saw 3 whales and the tour guide was very experienced and we learned a lot of fun facts about the whales. The boat was new and modern. Very comfy!

We had a great hostess with excellent knowledge of the whales. The boat "Spirit of Migaloo" is wonderful, and we got an up-close experience with the whales and an informative tour with regards to whale behaviours.

A great ship, great staff and a great timeline - not too short and not too long. We experienced the whales very close to the ship and were lucky to get excellent weather.

WOW. Educational, professional, wonderful trip. Most impressive with the personal attention especially for there not feeling so well. The whales, close encounters, and so many great viewing areas and ability to be inside or out on the trip.

The staff were so pleasant and informative, and the audiovisuals were excellent we saw 2 humpback whales who came up to our boat they were amazing! I have been on a whale watch before but Sea World was outstanding with hospitality, information and up to date equipment and boat.

We had a fantastic day with the whales coming close to the boat and doing the tail slapping. We saw more whales than expected and the boat was beautiful. seaworld tickets that came with it were great too!

I found the Sea World Whale Watch thoroughly enjoyable experience even though the weather was not the best, but the staff were extremely professional and informative about the whales. I recommend this experience to anyone.
